The Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies’ Queer and Transgender Research Lab at the University of Toronto has announced its 2024-2025 Cohort of Fellows and Research Associates. Congratulations to the following:

Martha LA McCain Postdoctoral Research Fellows:
LJ Slovin, releasing their forthcoming monograph Fierce, Fabulous, and Fluid: How Trans High School Students Work at Gender Nonconformity
Ruth Ramsden-Karelse, completing her first monograph, Gays and Girls Make Worlds

Artist-in-Residence:
Vivek Shraya
, multi-talented artist, author, poet, actor, and musician

Marth LA McCain Faculty Fellows:
Rafael Grohmann, Assistant Professor of Media Studies and Critical Platform Studies in the Department of Arts, Culture and Media & Faculty of Information
Liza Blake, Associate Professor of English

Community Organizers-in-Residence:
Shaun Brodie, classically trained trumpet player
Yasmeen Persad, community leader, advocating for the rights of and providing programming for trans and gender diverse people, particularly trans people of color, trans people living with and/or affected by HIV, trans newcomers, and trans women who are sex workers

Graduate Research Assistants:
Petra Totten, award-winning nonfiction film and video artist
Upasana Bhattacharjee, PhD student at the Faculty of Information and Sexual Diversity Studies
Wiley Sharp, Doctoral Student in Urban and Cultural Geography and Sexual Diversity Studies

Joining this group are ten outstanding undergraduate Research Assistants, and four fascinating Emerging Project Fellowships! All of this is lead by the Director of the Bonham Centre, Professor Dana Seitler, and Research Associate/QTRL Coordinator Christopher (C.G.) Smith.
