The Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies at the University of Toronto is pleased to announce that Sara Schroff is appointed as the inaugural Martha LA McCain Post-Doctoral Research Fellow.
Sara, a queer feminist with Kenyan, Indian, and Pakistani roots, completed her PhD this past spring from the New School in NYC in Urban and Public Policy where she studied the genealogies of sexuality, governance, and economics in contemporary South Asia and its diasporas. While a Fellow at the Bonham Centre, her research will study the intersectionality of queerness and non-governmental foundation giving through her project tentatively titled Dastaan-e-Qurbat: Queer Intimacies, Ethnicity, and Experiments in Living. She will teach an advanced seminar course titled Sexing South Asia.
