It was a true privilege and honour to have been asked to give the Commencement Address to the Rotman Commerce graduating classes of 2020 and 2021 this past weekend. This commencement was an in-person event at the University of Toronto’s Convocation Hall, combining two graduating years which previously received their diplomas virtually because of COVID.
It was certainly one of the best days of my life. As the over 600 graduating students walked past on stage and I had the opportunity to personally congratulate them, I sensed their pride and excitement for the future. This was shared by their families and friends in the audience. I can truly say that our country’s future is safe and secure in the hands of these students.
