I am very pleased to report that The Canadian Encyclopedia has published my recent article on The History of The Bank of Canada (BOC). The article discusses the various functions of the BOC, why the BOC was created in the mid 1930s, The Coyne Affair (which clarified the role of the BOC vis-a-vis the federal government’s economic policy objectives), and current challenges faced by the BOC.
