I was pleased to take part in the launch of the book The Governors of the Bank of Canada at the Bank of Canada Museum in Ottawa. The book includes the biographies of all Governors of the bank, and I contributed the biography of Mark Carney. The current Governor, Stephen Poloz (centre), was not expected for the event but surprised us all by flying in at the last moment. Also shown in the picture is Joe Martin, President of the Canadian Business History Association and author of the biography of Graham Towers, the bank’s first Governor.
