I was overwhelmed with emotion to receive a telephone call from Mohamed Lachemi, President and Vice Chancellor of Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), who conveyed the news that I will be awarded an Honourary Doctorate at their fall convocation on October 16th. The citation notes my business achievements and philanthropic conributions to the community.
I am truly grateful for this tremendous recognition from such an esteemed institution. It certainly inspires me to continue my commitment to the many communities I am proud to be a part of. I am excited to be an active alum of TMU!
Congratulations also to Janice Fukakusa, the first female Chancellor to lead the university.
